BMW to Terminate Gasoline Vehicle Production

⚡#BMW will transform its giant factory in its hometown Munich into a fully electric vehicle production base with an investment of €650 million!

🟢The company moved its internal combustion engine production to its Austrian facility last year. It will use its Munich factory, which has been producing gasoline cars for 75 years, only for electric production in 2027. Some 3 and 4-series models are currently leaving this factory.

🔌An electric sedan using the ‘Neue Klasse’ platform will be produced in the most important factory of the German giant by 2026. This sedan will replace the 3 series. It will enter mass production in Hungary in 2025, before Germany. It will be followed by BMW factories in China and Mexico.

💰 BMW spent billions of euros on electric vehicle transformation. The company announced that 15 out of every 100 vehicles it sold in 2023 were fully electric. In 2026, this rate will exceed 33% and sales of internal combustion vehicles will largely cease after 2030.
