💰Farasis collaborated with Togg and founded a battery company called Siro. The company has been making losses since 2020 when it was opened to the stock market. It also reported serious losses in 2023, including Siro. However, there are promising investments.
🔋The company aims to be an alternative to large cylindrical cells such as 4680 and BYD Blade style prismatic cells in structural battery vehicle projects with its long thin vesicle cell design called SPS (Super Pouch Solution).
🟢 SPS cells promise 60% more efficient heat dissipation compared to large cylindrical cells and thus longer battery life and high charging speed. Those cells are planned to be produced with both NCM and a lower-cost LFP cathode.
🏭 SPS has been shown as a concept for two years and started pilot production. It looks like it will enter mass production this year. We’ll see if this new generation battery can keep Farasis alive.
🔋Lastly, Farasis is producing sodium ion cells, supplying one of the world’s first sodium battery vehicles. On this side, the production volume and profit margin remain low for now. But it can become an important income source for the company in the future.
