Chinese truck and heavy equipment manufacturer #Sany has started delivering its new truck, which can reach a range of 500 km on a single charge.
The truck, named #Jiangshan SE-437, stands out from its competitors with its 437 kWh battery that can be swapped in less than five minutes. Additionally, the truck is equipped with dual charging sockets, providing support for DC charging exceeding 400 kW.
Last year, nearly half of the electric trucks sold in China had swappable batteries. Demand for these trucks, which can be ready to hit the road with a fully charged battery within minutes thanks to new swap stations being set up every week, continues to grow.
Meanwhile, it’s worth noting that SANY Group developed this swappable large battery platform in collaboration with Gotion Inc. a partner of Volkswagen Group.
