#Tata’s new cheap electric car Punch.ev is officially on sale. The tiny SUV was put up for pre-order at the beginning of January and the starting price is announced as $12,000.
Tata Punch.ev will take its place in showrooms in India on February 1, 2024, and will then start to be delivered to customers.
Tata announced last year that it would establish a #battery cell factory in its hometown with an investment of 1.6 billion dollars. The Punch.ev became the company’s third budget-friendly model after the affordable hatchback Tiago.ev and sedan Tigor.ev. Tata’s first electric SUV was the 16,000-dollar Nexon.ev.
Tata’s export plan has not been clarified yet. It is expected to announce its electric vehicle sales strategy for Europe and other regions this year.
