⚡In a surprising announcement at the launch event, #Rivian, backed by #Amazon, revealed plans to release a new crossover-style model named the R3 in 2026.
🏭The company, which has invested $5 billion to build a massive facility with a production capacity of 400,000 vehicles in the state of Georgia, has designed the R3 to be manufactured at this facility for high-volume production.
🔋Both the R3 and its sporty version, the #R3X, developed on the same platform as today’s R2, are notable for their structural battery pack. On the charging front, both models come standard with #Tesla’s #nacs socket.
🟢While Rivian has not yet provided pricing details, it has confirmed that the R3 will be introduced to customers following the launch of the R2, which begins deliveries in 2026. Expectations are that the price will be below $40,000.
