Mercedes-BYD co-production Denza D7 with dual DC charging sockets is off the production line.
Denza, the joint brand of Mercedes and Chinese BYD, has officially started to produce the new generation electric SUV model D7. Standing out with its double DC charging socket, the upper segment SUV promises a DC charging speed of 150 kW in a single socket and 230 kW in a double socket.
The Denza D7, built on BYD’s e-platform 3.0 architecture and featuring a battery integrated into the chassis, aspires to be the most comfortable car in its class according to its smart air suspension technology DiSus-A.
The electric SUV, which has a starting price of approximately $50,000, offers a range of 702 km on a single engine and 630 km on a double engine. Denza D7, whose all-wheel drive version can reach 531 horsepower, will be delivered to its first customers at the end of the month.
