The second generation Toyota C-HR is introduced. The C-segment SUV, which can travel 66 kilometers in electric mode, will be launched as a plug-in hybrid for the first time. It is rumored that an all-electric version may also be produced next year.
The Japanese company announced that it will start production in December 2023, after investing 317 million euros at its facility in Sakarya to produce batteries for plug-in hybrid vehicles at the beginning of the year. The new C-HR, which will be produced in the same facility, will be offered to customers in Turkey and Europe as of 2024.
It will be possible to order the vehicle, which has 1.8 and 2.0-liter engine options, with parallel hybrid and plug-in hybrid options as of the end of the year.
