Porsche officially renewed its first electric car today, which has been on sale for more than four years.
Taycan, whose three body types (Sedan, Cross Turismo, Sport Turismo) were updated at the same time, surprisingly continues to use the old architecture instead of the company’s new platform PPE.
Even though its platform has not changed, it is certain that the new Taycan is much better than the old one in almost every aspect. While the Turbo S version previously completed the 0-100 km/h acceleration in 2.8 seconds, this time decreases to 2.4 seconds in the renewed Taycan.
The 2024 Porsche Taycan can reach 952 horsepower thanks to the new rear engine. It can reflect this performance on the road for a much longer time with its new generation heat pump thermal management system and inverter. The sports vehicle with 800-volt electric architecture can also charge for five minutes at speeds above 320 kW.
The German manufacturer states that the old generation Taycan was charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 37 minutes at 15 degrees, and that this decreased to 18 minutes with the new Taycan.
The new Taycan, whose small battery option increases from 79 kWh to 89 kWh, and whose Peformance Battery Plus option increases its capacity from 93 to 105 kWh, will hit the roads in Turkey in the spring, simultaneously Europe and the world.
With all these innovations, the starting price increases from 93,000 euros to 105,530 euros. Customers who want to buy the Taycan with 952 HP and a large battery have to pay 217,000 euros.
