The electric truck Mercedes eActros LongHaul can travel 600 kilometers on a single charge. The vehicle is ready for mass production. The eActros LongHaul truck, which Mercedes previously introduced as a concept, is finally going into production. The vehicle has a total energy storage capacity of 600 kWh in three battery packs with LFP cathode cells, which draws attention to its 800-volt electrical architecture.
The eActros LongHaul will be introduced to the market under the name eActros 600, which corresponds to its battery and engine power capacity. It is said to be able to charge from 20% to 80% in less than 30 minutes.
The LFP battery will enable the electric truck to take to the road with the promise of becoming the most cost-effective vehicle in its class, surpassing the 1.2 million kilometers endurance criteria for long-haul trucks in 10 years.
Mercedes has received hundreds of orders for the eActros 600 and announced that it would launch on October 10, 2023. When mass manufacturing begins in 2024, the first automobiles will be delivered to customers.
