Chinese electric vehicle giant #BYD has revamped its cheapest sedan model by offering almost a $3,000 discount.
The 2024 model #BYD Qin Plus EV, with a starting price of $15,000, not only challenges electric competitors but also petrol and hybrid rivals in the sedan sector.
The entry-level electric Qin Plus promises a CLTC range of 420 km with a 48 kWh battery, while reaching a more reasonable range of 510 km with a 57.6 kWh battery at the $16,600 price level.
Equipped with a 100 kW motor across all versions, the 4.7-meter sedan comes with an 8.8-inch instrument panel as standard. The central screen, standard at 10.1 inches, features voice command functionality. In the top package, the screen size increases to 12.8 inches, the number of speakers increases from 4 to 6, and a 360-degree camera is added.
