Entering a new era of electric vehicle transformation, BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC unveiled its iX3 equivalent vehicle developed from scratch to be electric.
Announced to have an 800V electric architecture, the Neue Klasse X is set to achieve a range of 300 kilometers with just 10 minutes of charging. The vehicle will also come with a structural battery pack comprising cylindrical cells measuring 46120, offering a volumetric energy density 20% higher.
Facing increasing criticism in recent years for its growing grille design, the German giant will incorporate a more compact grille design in the Neue Klasse series vehicles. The vehicle is expected to have significantly higher aerodynamic efficiency.
Improvements made in battery, motor, and aerodynamic efficiency segments are expected to result in 25% higher efficiency compared to previous-generation BMWs for the Neue Klasse X.
