Chinese electric vehicle giant #BYD will establish a factory in Turkey with an annual production capacity of 150,000 vehicles.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and BYD founder & CEO Wang Chuanfu attended the signing ceremony and have signed the deal in Istanbul on Monday.

The facility, expected to start production by the end of 2026, will be located in Manisa and is projected to provide employment for 5,000 people.

The factory will produce not only fully electric vehicles but also plug-in hybrid BYD models.

BYD is also building a plant in Hungary that will begin production next year and is considering a second plant in that country.
