#BYD has surpassed the 700,000 production milestone for the Dolphin electric hatchback, which was first released in August 2021.
The compact vehicle has set sales records both in China and abroad. For the 2025 model year, the entry-level Dolphin now comes with a 44.9 kWh battery instead of 32 kWh, significantly increasing its range.
The base model now offers a 420 km #CLTC range at a price of $13,700. The upper trim features a 60.5 kWh battery providing a 520 km range.
Additionally, the top model boasts a new motor producing 150 kW and 310 Nm torque, compared to the previous 120 kW and 280 Nm torque, while maintaining the price at $17,850.
