🔋This Tesla’s Battery Only Degraded 24% After 700,000 km!

In the UK, a taxi driver has been using a 2016 #ModelS Tesla, which, despite lacking the advanced thermal management system found in newer Teslas, is still noteworthy for its battery health.

Approaching 700,000 km and typically fast-charging twice daily at DC stations, the battery still offers 76.9% capacity according to the ‘Tessie’ app, while a report by the British battery testing initiative Altelium states it provides 72% capacity.

Thanks to the multi-mode operation and heat pump-equipped advanced thermal management systems in newer electric vehicles, battery lifespans exceeding 1 million kilometers are now feasible.

Moreover, these smart thermal systems help prevent unusual capacity loss in batteries caused by extreme weather conditions, high-performance use, or high-speed charging, thus increasing the proportion of electric vehicles capable of reaching distances like 700,000 km, as seen in this instance.
